Why see an herbalist?

Herbalists offer guidance and education in herbs, lifestyle, diet and alternative modalities. Working with someone who has been trained in herbalism, can ensure that you are making the safest and most educated decisions about using herbs to support your health and wellbeing. Herbalists know the herbs well and are able to interpret scientific research and assess potential for herb-drug interactions. Herbalists understand that not all herbs will work for all people. No two people are alike and we know how to customize a program for you based on your energetics, temperament and physical condition.

I offer you a safe, supportive and confidential environment to share your story with me. Many healthcare practitioners cannot offer you the amount of time you need to really be heard.


The Consultations

Consultations take place at Serendipity in Minford, OH or online. Upon scheduling your first appointment, all new clients will receive an extensive questionnaire that will need to be completed and returned via mail or email prior to your first appointment. The questions, although extensive, are designed to provide as much information about your health history and wellness status so that our time together is as productive as possible. These questions also give you, the client, and opportunity to 'take stock' of your health and wellness goals. Knowing what you would like to achieve through seeing an herbalist is the first step to reclaiming your own health. I will also need copies of any pathology reports, scan reports, and pertinent blood work reports. Please ensure that all reports are in chronological order. It is of utmost importance to include any and all pharmaceutical medications and dietary supplements on your client intake form. All these documents need to be submitted at least 7 days prior to your first appointment.

We do not accept insurance plans. Payment for consultations will be out-of-pocket. Payment is due at the time of scheduling/returning paperwork for in-person consultations. We accept cash, check, credit/debit cards and Paypal. If scheduling an online consultation, you will be required to pay consultation fees when you turn in your paperwork prior to your appointment. This will take place via a PayPal invoice. This invoice can be paid by credit or debit card or through your PayPal account if you have one.

Initial Consultation- Prior to your Initial Consultation, I will review your questionnaire and prepare any follow-up questions I need to ask. Your first appointment will last approximately 45-90 minutes during which time we will go over the concerns you have, your full health history including any previous or current health problems and dietary and lifestyle practices. Don't be afraid to bring up any issues you are having, including emotional issues. I may suggest an herb, blend or practice for you to start during this initial appointment. 

1st Follow Up- I will want to meet with you again in about a week. After the initial appointment, I will thoroughly research your case and prepare a protocol for you to follow. During the follow-up we will set health and wellness goals and develop an integrated herbal, nutritional, and lifestyle protocol to support you in achieving those goals. After the consultation you will receive written guidance, via email, regarding the nutritional, lifestyle, and herbal recommendations suggested. You will likely need to come and pick up products which are not included in the appointment price. We can also arrange shipping. There may be products we do not offer that you will be advised to order.

COST FOR INITIAL CONSULTATION and 1st FOLLOW-UP $125

2nd Follow Up- Ideally, we will schedule you for an appointment 3-4 weeks after your 1st follow up to check progress. This 45-60 minute session is an opportunity to discuss any questions you may have about your personalized herbal protocol and make adjustments if needed. Cost $75

Phone Check-Ins - Phone check-ins are 30 minute sessions and can be used in between return appointments to discuss challenges. Cost $30

Email Support- Complimentary email support will be offered for simple questions, but extensive questions will need to be addressed in a Phone Check-In or at an Appointment. 

After-Care Appointments- 30-45 minute sessions to discuss additional needs. Cost $50
